TV Out Cable Question

I have a GeForce4 Ti 4600 video card.

I am interested in running an output to my television which is close by. I purchased the card OEM so I don't have the manual, and can't seem to find the info on nVidia's web site. So I am left with two questions...

1. Can anyone inform me as to the type of cable I will need to have the output sent to my TV? It looks like an S-video connection, but I am not sure. My TV will accept either S-video or the standard red/yellow/white connectors.

2. Can I have both my monitor and my TV display the output at the same time? Or does it have to be one or the other?

Many thanks to all in advance.

1. Pretty sure its s-video which only carries the video signal, so you'll need the composite (RCA) cables for audio also unless you use your PC for sound and won't use the TV speakers.
2. GF4 supports simultaneous monitor+TV-out.

Thanks rbV5, I think I will try a long S-video cable and see what happens. I don't think I will mess with audio if it will take more equipment.

If you run your monitor and tv, you will notice a big drop in performance. I tried it and everything slowed way down. Running one or the other didn't cause the slow downs. My ati cards came with a Svideo cable with the audio cables also. It runs my 5.1 comp speakers and sounds pretty good.
