TV Card output to a Sony Wega

Ok, this is a repost of a question...because I want to start from scratch

I have a old diamond ViperII video card 32MB of RAM. That being said I am trying to output the video card image to my Sony Wega (32"). I am trying to output using an S-video output. So that is what I do.

I get an image during the DOS screen bootup. I also get up to the splash screen for win2k (that is the OS by the way). But then the image disappears. What's the deal? If I didn't get any image at all, I might think, alright I need the ATI All-In-Wonder with a TV out, but that is not the case. So obviously the s-video works, a little bit. But for some reason it just can't get past the splash screen?

Can somebody please explain this to me. Prior responses were asking me a couple of things I didn't know how to answer, so hopefully somebody who has dealt with the Sony Wega can help me and will know that system better than I know it.

I know the Wega has progressive scan, but not sure if that will effect things. please help somebody.

If thats a high definition TV it displays at 1024 by 768 resolution, that viper card will only go to 800 by 600 for TV if I'm mistaken.
That could be the problem

interesting suggstions...I'll try finding better drivers. I have the card set at 600x800 right now. somebody in another post said that no matter what resolution you set it to, though, the s-video would somehow only output 600x800, does anybody know anything about that?

You out put has to be 800X600 for watching it on TV. While booting up by default you have 800X600. Once you are in win 2k it goes to the reolution in set in windows. So youTV goes blank. One more thing. In your display setting you should enable TV display also. So video card allows you to set different resolution for monitor and TV Some don't I don't know about yours. My ATI Rage fury pro allows me only one setting for both TV and monitor. So if you want siganl on TV you have to have resolution set at 800X600 and have to set enable TV display in your display settings.

Ok well here's a little more information.

I did set it to 800x600, this was done after my initial post. But it still doesn't work...secondly the video card that I have is the ViperII (really old and crappy). Anyway I have the newest bios upgrade, and in my video card properties menu there is a tab for me to select with the output device, and I see "flat panel" and "TV" as two options, but they are both greyed out. I don't understand? How do I set it so that I get to choose either of those options? Also there was another checkbox that read "Use CRT DDC Information," I'm not really sure what that is all about either.

Can somebody give me even more help...please
