Tutorial needed for new computer build

Although familiar with the care and feeding of computers, I am a noob at building a Pentium computer and would appreciate finding a published or online tutorial of the steps that are necessary before installing WinXP. For example, after installing the video card and connecting the monitor, do I leave the RAID 0 HDDs disconnected as well as the DVD-ROM disconnected and get into the BIOS and make the timing and other changes (what other changes are recommended) or ...? The Asus mobo manual is well-written, but a tutorial in the exact sequence of steps, including main BIOS settings, would be very helpful for us newbies.

Welcome to the Forums MikeSp Besides the guide, which now has photos for the physical installation of a Pentium4 thanks to Vegetto's help, we can also help you with your more specific questions. It sounds like you got your motherboard already, is that right? Which model of Asus is it? What other parts do you have?
