Everybody is so caught up in the ADA880 speaker deal (including me) at Dell that many overlooked the great deal on this audio card. List at Dell is $69, but you get 25% off today plus free shipping. This is an excellent card for the money. Newegg price is $65 plus $4 shipping.

Need a new audio card with those speakers? ;)

Whoa, if you wanna try your luck with dell refurbished items you can have one for about $37 shipped!

BTW how do you get 25% off I wanna try to get a refurbished one.

EDIT: Oh its for small business section.

EDIT2: And its only 25% off for DELL stuff, 15% for everything else. So I ordered a refurbished santa cruz for about $42 shipped.

Picked up mine at CompUSA for $59.99 during last sale.

Great card by the way, and hot deal from Dell.

<< What's so great about this card? Sorry for being stupid. >>

Don't feel so bad. The answer is that it's not Creative Labs...:)

What makes it so much better than the MUSE 2 (for $18 plus tax at Best Buy)?

and how does it compare to the sound of the Game Theater?

I picked up a refurbed one last month for 30something bucks at Dell ... Worked like a charm with Epox 8KHA+ motherboard. I used Dell's driver though, not sure the difference between that and Turtle Beach version.

cmsanto: If I remember correctly, it runs on the same chip as the Game Theater, it just doesn't have the external box with the added features

Bump for a nice sound card, its still about the same price ($69 @ dell.com, 20% off and free ground shipping for a total of $55.20).

OEM at Newegg is $69 shipped. I dunno if this is the retail though, if it isn't then it includes everything except the box >> This product includes the following parts: Processor, heatsink, clip, BIOS disk, software, instructions and 1 year limited warranty.

Sorry folks, the refurbished Santa Cruz doesn't qualify for the 20% discount.

I tried call them for 2 days straight and there is virtually no one at Dell who knows their ass from their elbow.

Does this card have DOS Legacy support in hardware(no emulation)?
The SB Live just has SB16 emulation which requires EMM386 memory manager, and I have a lot of DOS games that can't run with it.
