I wasn't pumped about this game but I really wasn't ready for the suck that I just experienced.

I guess it isn't horrible unless you compare it to the other fps on the market then you can see how bad it is.

Just picked up Uncharted yesterday so this will have to wait. I'm going in with low expectations though. Turok 2 on N64 sucked...
The uncharted demo was Tomb Raider with a guy imo.

The whole game is like that except for the fact that in tomb raider you actually had some adventure spects. Uncharted is a failed action game IMO...I wasted my money on it...traded it for Virtua Fighter 5 which I enjoy tons.

How is Uncharted a failed action game?

what's wrong with just leaving the system on anyway?

Worried about saving a few pennies, don't buy $400+ consoles.

Well, why turn anything off then? I often leave my PC on for days at a time, but I'm not into leaving all my electronics on for shits and giggles. It's just a nice feature to have and it would be nice if Sony would implement the same thing for the PS3. And I wasn't really complaining anyway, I get along just fine with the PS3 as it is. I was just clearing up what appeared to be a misunderstanding on your part about how the 360 handled downloads.

After 4 days of downloading and two console lockups trying to load after the intstall I finally got in.

Only to be greated by a lame ass demo that forces me to fumble my way out of a dark cave. I HATE levels like this. The Jericho demo was the same way.

Seriously...who in the world approves the levels for these demos? If you want to hype your game put out something that makes your game look good and makes the player want to continue.

Trying to bumble my way through some dark cave that could have been reproduced on a console 2 generations ago isn't helping your case.

I'd have a hard time even considering a rental of this thing.

Yeah, I was seriously disapointed with this demo. The graphics aren't that great, and I found the rest to be just, sort of bland (too much black in the caves, and too much green outside). Killing dinos got old after the fifth raptor, and sneaking up on the humans (while adding a kinda cool Assassins Creed-esque kill sequence) became pretty lame when their buddies see you and take you out with 2 shots.

I'll probably rent it, or get it when it's bargain bin, but that's about it.
