Thinking about getting another turntable. My last one died in storage from moisture.
What things should I look for?
My receiver (Denon 3313ci) does have a phono out.
The spot I'd probably put it in my entertainment center is not very high. So a lid that hinges at the back probably wouldn't work. Unless I took the lid off.
 
Well, for starters 99% of the lids hinge at the back. Your only options would be no lid or a vintage front-loader.

Honestly, I like going used but it really depends on whether you're willing to scour thrift shops and "real" swapmeets. Ebay is OK but I think a turntable is too delicate to survive amateur packing techniques.
 
I still have an old Kenwood, lost the power cord for it.

Might have to look for one, still have many old albums laying around.
