If the prof finds positive hits, one would hope that he or she would do a little research to see how far the alleged plagiarism went. If it's half copied, yeah, I could see that as being excessive plagiarism. But if it's mostly his, then he should have no worries - the prof's will be able to figure it out for themselves.

Then again, this is just a Random opinion. 🙂

I've had to use turnitin.com for one of my classes this sem.

Yes. If you submit one draft, then submit the same paper again, you WILL have 100% plagarism (or whatever amt you didn't change). Also for other people that don't know, turnitin does not check for quotations. So, that means if you quote something out of the Constitution, you will be cited for plagarism. It's not a big deal as long as your professor checks for these things.
