Well, I can't remeber exactly where I read this but MS has said that in the future all Xbox games will run on PCs (with Windows of course). All in acordanse to MSs plan for making a new standard for gaming (basicaly they want to make the os/spesifications while others make the HW).

IMO that is the worst move they can possible make. Good exclusives are the key to a console, not graphics. By making all future xbox games on the pc....why buy an xbox? Better graphics and better control on pc. And online play is free for the most part (i hate paying monthly fees).

instead of emulating the system, can't an OS be written to make PC function as xbox?

exactly...

dual boot with an extra hard drive or big drive with multiply partitions 😉
Imo sounds like something for a custom linux kernel.

and if that ever happened, it would be way after xbox 2 came out. even then it makes no business sense. most pc gamers aren't likely to buy console games, then theres the piracy factor, and old games don't sell even wors.e
