Here ya go folks... as posted at another site!

FYI, I take NO responsibility for how many tires you shred because of this OR any accidents. Be SAFE!!! I AM told that ABS stays on, a fuse needs to be pulled to disable that.

"as it states in the 2006 avalon owners manual ....start the car with the parking prake on ....then foot brake twice....(keep the foot brake down)....then parking brake twice (keep it down )and repeat till skid light is on the dash.....it will reset when you restart the car"

**CONFIRMED**

Man I thought it was annoying in the Passat, and all you have to do is hit a button to turn it off... I'd hate to go through that crap every time you turn the car on.

what a hassle.

why do they want to turn it off

I don't know about the Lexus, but in our Passat it lags like crazy when you're starting from a stop. So the natural reaction is to push the pedal harder, then it takes off. It's just an annoyance.

not worth it unless you are autocrossing the car

Heaven forbid we be allowed to control our own cars.

We had DSC on out last car and opted to get only ASC this time and it's still too intrusive.

I can see thousands of dumb asses suing Toyota after they totalled their cars by turning off the nanny system. Hooray for lawyers.

man, Lexus's are like riding in museums...so boring.

It really depends on who is driving. Someone who is older will probably baby sit it while someone younger will probably take it to the limit now and then.

What a pain that must be. I will pass on Lexus because of the nanny. I was looking at a Infiniti and the off button for it's nanny does not turn it off jest move the set point up. So I passed on them too.

the limit is riding like a museum. at least in the new ones. what was the quote from the auto mag, that it would stop in the middle of a hairpin turn?

next thing u know, people are gonna be crashing these things. lexus has such an intrusive stability control is because idiots drive them like f1 racecars.
