My money is on either "The Unemployed American" or "The Chilean Miners" because those choices would cause controversy (for the former) or sentimentality (the latter), both of which make Time more money.

The SandEagle delusion may be in the fact no one gives a shit about the Time ragazine.

But still, in the news of the year, Picking the Turkish PM as man of the year may be correct. As Turkey boldly assumes a bold new role in the Mid-East.

And such a pick may show the two biggest world fools in denial may be Hillary Clinton and Bozo Netanyuhu, both of which tried to blow off the rising world influence of Turkey.

They should have nominated "The Roma Victim" for the genocidal actions against the minority group in Europe and how they're resisting, especially in France. They brought the attention of the whole world to their plight, potentially saving millions of lives.

Lol? I assume this is sarcasm, since they aren't being killed and those being evicted/kicked out aren't exactly average citizens... We've had problems here with several Roma families moving from town to town, just setting their mobile home somewhere and causing problems in the neighbourhood, then demanding hundreds of thousands of Euros to leave, and if they get it move to the next town and start over again.

Other groups don't move around but refuse to pay taxes and threaten with violence if the IRS comes to collect taxes, deal drugs, and have very high criminality and unemployment rates. Note that those that are unemployed receive unemployment benefits, but often also receive money from illegal activities.

Not all of them do it, but then, most Roma aren't forced to leave the country either. It's the criminals who move from country to country to steal, deal and demand money for leaving who have to be dealt with.

In Italy for example there's a lot of prejudice and discrimination and there the Roma face violence (although the police tends to act against those commiting violence there too), but in most of Europe they don't.

Americans should be ashamed. We should be the leaders in spamming meaningless internet polls, not the Turks.

PottedMeat is so correct, bring back the good old days of the Paul Bots, as the next job must be to get both Rand and Ron Paul elected as the Time man of the year. \

I hope the damn time mag editors are watching my post and having the fear God put into them, and if Rand and Ron don't win, I will cancel my non existent Time Mag subscription.

Yep, Arduan is Time MOTY material - just like Hitler and Stalin were in their time.

How many people did he systematically murder? If you want to nominate systematical, cold blooded murderers at least pick a more realistic target like the Israeli government, Al Qaida or Mugabe or something.
