Police, acting on a tip, recovered the material in a taxi last week in Sanliurfa province, near the Syrian border. Two Turks who were trying to sell the material as uranium were released from custody.
Back to our regularly scheduled program then...

Before you two declare this story completly dead and gone please answer one question.

Just who were these two Turks planning on trying to sell this fake uranium to?

Or maybe it was two guys trying to make a quick buck by selling fake U. What better way to make 5mil than to take some metal and sell it as uranium?

Funny how the location has changed from "150 miles from the Iraqi border" to "near the Syrian border". Ho hum, I suspect that more false alarms will come in the future, all the more reason to cool our heels.
