How many hours for an unstuff 17 lbs turkey?
My cook book suggested 5.5 hours at 350F, and the internet suggested from 4~6 hours at 325F.

I set the timer for 4.5 hours at 350F.

Be sure to leave it in the plastic bag to seal in the juices.
Oops! I forgot to keep it in the plastic bag that the turkey came in.

Soaked turkey in brine over night (2 gallons of water, 1.25 cup of salt, 2 limes, a few twigs of rosemary, couple teaspoons of cracked peppers, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar).

generally, 20 minutes/lb., so a 17 pound bird should require about 5 1/2 to 6 hours.
That what my cook book suggested.

I'm going to make sure that I get 165~170F before I pull it out.

Cook on High until it looks like this:

I plug the temperature probe in at 4.5 hours and it read 175F

Over cooked......it going to be dry. I should have keep a closer eye on it.
