I knew this was going to happen. And I bet the U.S. military won't do a damn thing about it. Turkey, with the help from the United States' military funding, has committed horrible crimes and monstrosities against the Kurds during the 80s and 90s. Now that Iraq is going down, it is evident that the Kurds will want to form there own country, which would have a mass migration impact from Turkey and Iran. Well, Turkey doesn't like this, because they can't let these beaten down people have too much power, God/Allah forbid. I don't even want to know what kind of sh!t is going down right now. I guarantee that war crimes are being committed, and why isn't the U.S. stepping in? If this is about Iraqi Freedom, then this is the time to step up before these people are put down. We f*cked this up during the first war, we better not do it again.

The troubling part about this is the the UN is supposed to step in and tell Turkey to get the fvck out of there.

I wonder if Turkey had this planned all along?

I'm sure they have. The Kurds will now have to fight the Turks and it will not be pretty. I'm sure they worked a deal with us(maybe the airspace) so they could go ahead and murder these repressed people while we look the other way. The Iraqi's may decide to come up to flank them from the other side as well. That would be absolutely horrible, and I hope we do something about it.

America has no idea what they will have to deal with once this war is over. The various factions in Iraq have been waiting to kill each other for decades, to say nothing of opportunistic neighbors. Preserving Saddam's iron grip to prevent all out chaos will be a Herculean challenge.

RIGHT!!! While I agree Turkey should get out of there the Iraqi's have bigger problems right now than the Kurds. Like being hopelessly outclass.

The Iraqi's know they can't defeat us, so why not pick on someone weaker? I would not be suprised.

Because we have completed control of the sky and would desimate any armor formation that started to move north.
