I really doubt the state product will ship right away. TurboTax is notorious for not shipping the multistate version until well into the year (and by "well into the year" I mean late January or early February). Maybe they've gotten things more together this year, but usually it takes them til then to get all the tax-law changes included.

This will ship before the end of 2002. Major online updating is done upon installing the program. To many it is a mute point since most employers push the 1/31 deadling to get the W-2 out.

Did you add the pins or something to take yr order over 100? Try again and maybe don't use yr Staples card.
Thx

I could not find a 30$ off coupon but I did find a 20$ off coupon, ordered all 3 with free shipping,

=81.64 $

One item is shipping later then the rest it said. So it will all cost me around 11$.

Good post

Not seeing that $30 either. And now many CSRs are requiring the $20 one to be faxed in.
Any help appreciated

I had 3 consecutive CSR's tell me that the $30 coupon is now invalid. They think that the code might have been "leaked to the Internet" so they have invalidated it. Besides it was for new Staples card holders anyway.

I just used the $20 coupon from FatWallet forums (where Hot Deal talk is allowed) and placed my order online with the free checksoft stuff (yes, you can stack the coupons, and no you don't need yet another box of paper clips). Hopefully I can recoup my $16 by dumping that Quicken crap on eBay.

Holy crap! I tried to post this message and the Nazi-bot told me that FatWallet is a forbidden word. WTF is wrong with people?

I do it like this, go to staples.com:
start from tax cut deluxe 498971, then it will guide you all the way, buy:
- TaxCut Deluxe w/ $5 Mail-in-Rebate 498971 $24.95
- Microsoft Money 2003 Standard 492012 $29.99
- Kiplinger's Home & Business Attorney 497450 $29.99
- TaxCut State 499009 $24.95
- McAfee VirusScan 7/ QuickClean Bundle 492636 $59.99
- Symantec Norton Personal Firewall 2003
w/$20 Upgrader Mail-in-Rebate 495025 $49.99
- Checksoft Express 497451 $9.99
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
= $229.85

- checksoft express coupon (at staples.com will give coupon before the rebate page)
- $9.99
- $50 off $200 coupon - $50.00
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- total out of wallet (cc) =$169.86
REBATES:
taxcut delx $5, M$ $29.99, H&B attorney $29.95 (rebate 5c off. 🙁 ), McAfee bundle $59.99, Norton Firewall $30, Norton Firewall $20 upgrade (use McAfee to qualify) $20
- $174.93

Final price some months later = -$5.07

Actual cost with tax (169.86 X 1.06 NJ tax - 174.93 + 0.37 X5 = $6.97)

may be ebay some unuse software....

forget there is 2% of ebates.com too. 🙂

They delivered the TT Dlux and Quicken Basic 2003 together in a box the very next day. That was very quick. I got the paper clips in a huge separate box delivered by UPS. That is not sound business pratice.

FYI. Just finished reading the new "product activation" requirement for TT2002. The way it works is that only one computer, the one you activate with, is able to print forms and/or submit electronic returns -- all the others you install it on can do everything but that. They actually encourge you to share the CD with your friends because the program has an option that allows them to "purchase" the product.

Thanks to the noble soul 'jbloggs', I've placed the order 'pending credit approval'...

Does it also include electronic submission also ?
