I need a low end PCI-express card for just 2D...
ATI/Nvidia make cards..but prefer low noise..so HS only cards are fine..but I need to know if you can truly turn off Hypermemory/turbocache crap

this looks great:

MSI NX7300LE-TD128EH

I wish I could find a card on this order that only used dedicated video card memory and no system memory

If it helps, these technologies only use system memory when needed, not all the time. Its not like older integrated graphics cards where the system memory was reserved for the graphics card only and could not be used by any other application.

Out of curiousity....why are you using such an old BIOS on your Intel Badaxe2 motherboard? Is there something I don't know? I have the same motherboard.

Wow, thanks for the valuable advice

IMHO when using Dragon Med(which you are not using) anything that seems to eat resources affect performance on the dictation ...I will have 2 GB of ram...

I just need a 2D card..no 3D crap for these machines...and they less running or possible running and eating resources and ram can be an issue

one simple reason I do not know all the options..too many similar cards by both ATI/Nvidia

I really do not want to spend $100..when all I need is 2D..but I may have to go to this type of option..I appreciate the help
