Tupperware being pulled from Target stores

Analog

Lifer
ORLANDO, Fla. - Tupperware on Tuesday said it is pulling its products from Target stores Sept. 1 after an eight-month run because the partnership has had a ``detrimental effect'' on its business staple, the Tupperware party.

Text

You may want to get them while you can at your local Target, as these will be closed out as supplies dwindle.

Heh... tough break for Target. I guess by "detrimental effect", they meant that Target was selling too many Tupperware pieces. 🙂

Yes,they have a network, which didnt like that Target was stealing business from them.

This isn't rocket science. the second i saw tupperware at target the first thing i thouoght is that all of those womes who have tupperware partys are gonna be pissed. it actually lasted longer that i thought. the thing is that i bet target gets a smaller commision that all those party people and since when does "the man" (target) care about the little guy? i thought they would have told them "tough s*@t". oh well, i'm off my soap box.

All this means is Rubbermaid will outsell Tupperware. If I'm in Target and need something to hold yesterday's leftovers, I'll get what's there. I don't have time to go to a "party" to buy things. Unless they incorporate a LAN party and serve free beer and whisky.
