Tunnel crashes

Some of these look so avoidable. Maybe it's the crappy Eastern block cars that can't handle speeds over 50 mph.

I'd say they were all avoidable. People were simply driving too fast and close in every case.

Second, when these people start to lose control, why aren't they slowing down?

Many were going entirely too fast and tried to make sudden movements. One guy had to do so to avoid a guy who changed lanes directly in front of him. The first one was idiotic - he came flying up on another car and didn't seem to make any effort to slow down.

There's a reason you're not supposed to change lanes in a tunnel.
