Hello folks!

I recently bought an Akai 27" TV from Sams Club and I'm very pleased with it. However, in many DVDs, the color appears too dark.

I remember reading somewhere that I'd need to tune the TV for it to look nice. I do not, however, know where to start. I know that there is, somewhere, a TV tuning DVD that a lot of people use. I don't know the name of it though.

Also, is there a way to tune the TV without that (using, say, my computer screen?)

Helpful.

Try the sound and vision home theater tune up dvd.

Or you can use your computer, tv-out and a program called displaymate.

Or you can set the contrast to 60, the color to 25, the brightness to 35, the tint to 52g 48r, sharpness to 0, color to warm, digital NR off, and save yourself a lot of trouble.

Hit the menu button and go into the picture setup. You should be able to select color options like normal, warm, mild, cool, natural, custom, ect. Just play around with those to see which one looks best.
