Tuner Card Remote

I have a Hybrid TV Tuner card (Compro VideoMate DVB-T300), which came with a bundled remote.

I just wanted to know if there's any software that will let me use the remote with other programs, since i cant actually use the remote when I'm watching the recorded tv at a later date (since i need to use windows media player).

you can try girder, but it depends on the remote (and specifically how it interfaces with the pc).
