Only 4% here, but I'm going to a private university where I'm already paying out of my ass($26,100 just for tuition), so it's much more insulated from huge swings than public institutions are. Still, it's a bit of a disturbing trend; too many people are going in to higher education right now, and many of them are being priced out of it as a result. With manufacturing and other jobs that don't require advanced education on the decline, this is going to put a pinch on those people who are priced out of a degree.:(

I wanna say Wisconsin went up 6%.
I don't really know what it is now, but I think it's still less than $6,000.

Tuition at Wisconsin:

2000-2001: $3,290
2005-2006: $5,618

6.9% increase this year.

I'll be a freshman at MSU this fall so I won't know the difference. Everything has been screwed up here in Michigan ever since Granholm.... I don't favor one political party over another, but we really need to get rid of granholm. Everything she said she wasn't goign to do she has done, and many of those decisions have led to the higher costs for education.

9% for me, from $550 per credit hour to $600 for MBA. I don't care because my company pays the lot, including books and parking up to $25,000 :)

Increasing tuition to price out the lower and middle classes. That's one way to get students into the Army recruiting offices.

Smart ones in this situation go learn a trade and get paid to learn and apprentice.
