This time of year, we can get some nice sunsets - but the happen quickly, and you have to be ready. This one is completely untouched by any post processing ware. To get a good exposure, capture the light reading at the brightest point ajnd then shift the camera and frame the scene while holding the exposure button halfway down.

Nice colors. I can definitely echo the "they happen quickly" part. I've had a few where the color is gone within a matter of 5-10 minutes. I've seen a few of what I like to call Armageddon Skies, skies where the clouds are poofy but are bright red, but those unfortunately (or fortunately!) last for only 5 minutes.

Your "Armageddon Skies" description reminded me of this one I took about 10 years ago on a wimpy 1.3 mp Olympus P&S camera. It's hard to mess up colors like that even with a junky camera. :)

I miss those Tucson sunsets...nowhere else have I seen the purples and pinks the way they seem to come out there.
