Tucker fired from Fox, and he still hates Trump

What, Fox got tired of settling / losing lawsuits?
My local MAGA is going to be CRYING and RAGING all week over this one. Maybe longer.
Tucker is a big part of their lives.

True. But, Tucker has made Fox News a TON of money as well. He is the most popular News anchor today.

They are making abig show of deleting their Fox News app...

Related, they are also just now seeing the news that Newsmax donated $1 Million to the Clinton Foundation. It happened in 2015 but their heads are so far up their asses they are just seeing it now. They are running out of places to boycott.
Heck, now that it's come out that Fox gets more money from raping cable companies, I might just complain to mine and ask that they drop Fox or it's bye bye time. (Still have to buy theirbandwidth though).

Fox is just pulling out the long knives now so that they can at least pretend to be a serious news organization next year during the elections. Carlson’s ouster is a signal to their other mouth breather/populist hosts that none of them are more important than the news channel as a whole and that the opinions expressed are most likely all going to be coming from the top down in the future. The only crazy allowed will be that which has been previously vetted by Fox lawyers.

The accusation of a hostile workplace, the accusations of government involvement (ie, false flag) in January 6th, and the overwhelming likelihood of what was ‘underneath’ the endless Fox News redactions in the reams of Discovery that came out of the Dominion lawsuit all became too much for Murdoch to bear. I’m inclined to suspect that Carlson's stature with the network made him so full of himself that he felt indispensable and invulnerable and had no qualms about criticizing upper management. Maybe a memo came down putting everybody on a somewhat shorter leash in an attempt to keep them on the right side of the line between obnoxiousness and defamation, and Tucks stomped his foot and squealed “You can’t make me!”
You're right, but I suspect Fox also knows it's losing a valuable asset. There's no guarantee Carlson's successor will maintain the viewership, even if this replacement is more fiercely loyal. Some hosts definitely have larger audiences than others.

They bought tucker and he had previously worked at CNN & MSNBC.

It's probably an opening for Tomi Lahren.. she would try to rope a dope Obama back in the day with her words.

Funny how that never worked on anyone other than their base but that's who they're aiming for anyways!

I gotta throw a plug in for Desi Lydic because she's done so many "Foxplains" clips for The Daily Show and she's the perfect person to cover this for TDS

LOL "I can't believe an organization so opposed to gender affirming surgery just cut off their own dick."

Which has to be a veiled reference to prior Daily Show host Jon Stewart calling him a dick on Crossfire.

Not smart enough. There is a clip of Trevor Noah disemboweling her on the Daily Show.

I don't think an on-air lie came out of Carlson's mouth that wasn't blessed by Murdoch's team before it was uttered. Carlson is just the latest hair head to front Murdoch's lies.

After like 5 seconds, one had to know it was a fake reaction video.

Ahh well I’m going to raise a University of North Texas coffee mug in special appreciation of what Tucker Carlson means to me.

Probably mentioned, but not just Fox as a business entity, the Murdochs themselves are in deep doo doo with their shareholders, some of whom are suing them based on the info from the trial.

edit: sorry, wrong thread. 😀

Fox only did this because they thought their risks with Tucker were higher than the rewards with Tucker. That's it.

Nothing about Fox itself is any better as far as their goals and core values. Next man up to be as horrific as can be, just without a lot of old baggage.

This was a pure business decision, and we can all enjoy Tucker being unceremoniously let go because he is just an evil motherfucker, but Fox's mission remains the same and they will continue to be the evil fascist lying fucks they are.

2 minor asterisk's in your post..

1- cable tv is dying.. people are cord cutting if they already haven't. That cuts into revenue

2- pretty sure they're losing sponsors who see the new customers are progressive and not fascist
