Ram and video are fine . Had to put my 800e back in and run system restore in xp to get back up and online. I have a feeling its either my bios or windows XP Pro. Might try to stick the tualatin back in and do a clean Windows install tomorow.

Windows shouldn`t be an issue, I upgraded a Coppermine 566 machine with a 1200 (it had a Tu ready motherboard) and it just worked, if it POSTS and works fine in a DOS based tester like MEMtest86 (which creates a boot floppy) then Windows should work too.. I`d Check Soyo`s site for a BIOS update..

Yay. I flashed my bios to 2AA2 and when it posts it now gives a read out on cpu temp and vcore. Vcore was way off 3.05v!!!
Entered cmos and auto detect had my multiplyer set to 4, oh my god! Set the multiplyer manually to 9.5 and vcore to 1.45v. Saved and exited but the bios failed to repost. Hoping and praying the high vcore didn't fry my new Tualatin I powered down my system and waited 30 seconds to boot up again! Made it to windows.
Most programs worked O.K but games always locked up shortly after starting.
Went back to bios and set my performance setting from maximum to normal. This is an auto tweak setting for my memory and even though I use Crucial pc133 (CL2) 2-2-2 My system is rock solid since setting it to (CL3) 3-3-3. Also set L2 casche error checking to disabled beause this cpu has 512 L2 instad of 256 I thought this might be a problem area also.
Loved my old 6BA+IV but the TISU needs work and a new BIOS!!! Cpu temp sensor doesnt work, always read 42c or 110f.

Thanks to those who gave input.
