welcome to ATOT. We are censored, flamed on, and virtually gagged. We have no rights, we dare not speak the truth.

But we keep coming back. If you ever figure out why, let me know.
Because what else would we do?

Actually do work at the jobs we're paid for? Put on pants, go outside, and meet girls? Pshaw...

go outside????? With that big, flaming fireball thing out there??????

Are you nuts?

uh. i'd donate to any country except for indonesia, because they are kicking the american troops out of the country -- they apparently don't want american aid.

there was a thread in the OT forum addressing this point that i wanted to refer to, but it's been deleted. as for why that was, i don't know, but i didn't see anything harmful about posting that piece of national news. (and it's not in P&N either)
Weird..but it probably would fit much better in P&N...

it's not there, and if anyone was able to read my comment, someone had mentioned that it may be a better fit in the news forum, but i said that not all ATOTers go to the p&n forum. i think that discussion here is warranted about that particular issue. i mean, it's all over the news, and it's pertinent to our lives as american citizens, so why delete that thread?

beats me... as far as i saw, there wasn't even any bashing in that thread. it was just plain old discussion. what happened to using the lock function?

i'm sorry to offend the mod if he's from indonesia. this is worldwide news. there's no reason to hide it.

maybe the indonesian populace are paranoid of american occupation so the government has to do something

it was some fear of corruption. i didn't dig too deep into it. i found the new york daily news article much more appealing (it didn't discuss the corruption, just how ingrateful the vp of indonesia was about americans offering aid).

i understand both perspectives, but americans are risking their lives where thousands of bodies lay decaying in malaria and choleric environments -- areas swarming with disease -- and their "thank you" is more like "get out by march."
