TSP is tea spoon right?!?! PLEASE HELP!

Baby!
I had to give her medicine. i was 99% sure tsp was teaspoon. i gave i tto her and she passed out like 2 minutes later. Then the horrid thoughts ran through my head....what if....maybe......

Was just a little worried

*whew*

Either that or the Traveling Salesman Problem.

And a Tablespoon is bigger than a Teaspoon, so if you were wrong, you erred on the cautious side. Unless you think a teaspoon is a tablespoon.

No, i was supposed to give her 1 teaspoon. The measure said 1 tsp. Thus, if it was tablespoon I woulda been haulin ASS to the Emergency Room!
As is...
She's peacefully sleeping 🙂

The situation has been resolved. No artificial intelligence algorithm required. I must admit I'm a little disappointed.

But glad to hear the baby's doing good and that you could find help here. I won't post in the to-be-followed thread about how to change a baby's diaper, however.

NO.

t == tsp == teaspoon
T == tbsp == tablespoon

Generally, the CAPS specifies what it is, but no matter what tsp is always teaspoon and tbsp is always tablespoon

tsp - teaspoon
tbsp- table spoon

3 tsps = 1 tbsp

My Fiance learned the lesson after making a chocolate chip cookie recipe - instead of 1 tsp of salt, she added 1 tablespoon (triple the quantity of salt). The funny thing is we originally were doubling or tripling the recipe. So we had an extra large batch of salty cookie dough.
After the first salty cookie was discovered - I was trying to figure out how much other ingredients would be required to compensate for the extra salt-

Worried about what? That you gave her 1/3 the proper dosage? Why would you be worried that you gave her less than what you were supposed to?

I doubt any cold medicine is strong enough to injure a baby with an "overdose" difference between a teaspoon and tablespoon.

Yes, I know that was worded weird 🙁

What if I had given her a tablespoon. The thing is, I could have given her times as much. I wasnt sure tsp was teaspoon, thus is it was tablespoon I had given too much.

I dont know what 1 looks like over the other, I woulda given half the bottle if the measurement said to.....
