Hi to all!
My name is Norbert - I'm the leader of the TSC-Community-Team TSDeV-Köln-Düsseldorf. In the past weeks you were so kind, to wait for us in the stats. But now we are only a few hundred cands behind you! What about a race TeamAnandTech against TSDeV-Köln-Düsseldorf? ... a race, which team reaches the half-million at first.
Are you able to put more power into the TSC-Projekt? ... and would you enjoy a race with us? I thing, it would be good for the project!
Many greetings
Norbert

Our TSC team is pretty much dead in the water so to speak. Only about a 1/2 dozen members still producing anything.

I was waiting for the new client to be released before running TSC or D2OL again. The new client / server arangment looks promising.

I'm still running TSC and D²OL, but I don't think we have much leadership to lead the half dozen of us still producing. I'm not producing much either.

Mastertech and Geoff have not been heard from in awhile. Last post from Geoff he said he lost the DC bug. Mastertech still supports the ideal of the projects he is just not running it. I think it boils down to money, Geoff was running 15 rigs, Mastertech 4 Duallies. myself 8, money is tight can`t afford to run all these. Especially when you consider the efficiency of the client, to much spinning wheels. I still intend to heat my all electric apartment with computers this winter if I can afford to pay the rent. It may be a little chillier without the AMD dually I had to sell. Anandtech DC has fallen upon hard times in general. Computers are bad investments no matter how cheap you get them.

I've been trying to run TSC for some time now and It just doesn't seem to get any better. Would be nice if they can get it right.

I downloaded and re-installed the client yesterday. It appears to be running again on the one machine i have dedicated to it. It hasn't run for the last month while I was gone.

Geoffs ... what do you want to say with 'hmmm....' ?

... do you agree?

You alone have the power to hold conjointly with half of my team!
... and I remember two month ago, when AnandTech was at the peak of Crunching-Power in the TSC-Community!
When some more of your team will follow, it will be an exciting race!!!

heh... I'm just looking at this pile of hardware and wondering if I want to fire it back up.... TSC and D2OL were the two most problematic projects that I worked on and didn't really feel that, even for its age, the project was very mature or stable and often felt that I was just wasting my fleet's time on it... maybe I'll fire up a couple of machines and see if it's changed...

Fine Geoffs ... in two weeks they want to bring out a new revision ...
... from the beta-testers you hear only praise!
The maximum number of downloaded candidates will raise up to 2000 ...
... I think, this is good for power-crunchers as you are!

So long
Norbert

From the sounds of it I guess it's a good thing I didn't install TSC. I was going to give it a try, but it sounds like it's just as buggy as D2OL was. 🙁

You have much traffic here in the forum ... really much posting-power!
... so that I had problems to find my topic again!

I don't know exactly, what you all want to say me ... do you agree a race or not???

Ok ... I think, if you agree ... I will notice it! I have not yet lost my hope!

Best regards
Norbert
