The scanners cannot find nor are they cpable of finding the real threat.

Besides, the TSA is nothing more than a great waste of time, effort and money. They have no purpose other than getting in the way of the flying public.

There is no way a large commercial airplane will ever be hijacked. The cockpit is safe. Those items that can bring down an entire aircraft cannot be found by the methods and technology the TAS is using today.

Opposing the TSA is opposing the gubnament. Opposing the gubnament is opposing the will and direction of those in power; the rich. You can not oppose the rich. That makes you a communist if you do oppose the rich.

And, you can not deny the existance of the TSA - since it is making some rich person(s) somewhere even richer.

I would go a step further and disband homeland security altogether, it's a colossal fund suck.

No, I haven't forgotten 9/11, nor have I forgotten that our pre-9/11 law enforcement and intelligence was somewhat lacking in keeping tabs on terrorist threats. I think the lessons have been learned on that and we'd be risking little by dumping it.

That is exactly where the security of the fly public ought to rest, the airports and the airlines. It would be cheaper and better than what we have now.

I know you are compelled to blame everything on Obama, but according to the TSA's own web site, they began deploying these scanners in 2007. If the math is too hard for you, that's over a year before Obama took office. Oops.

Not that I would blame Bush either. They are a symptom of much broader problems: ever-growing government erosion of our civil liberties through fear-mongering and security theater, a too-cozy relationship between government and big business interests, and an inattentive and complacent American population who are too busy watching reality [sic] television to pay attention to the reality that they've been sold out.

This. It's basically, more giving away our liberties for the sake of the cowards in this country that only care about having a good nights sleep.

Obama could have appointed someone to come up with a more sensible solution instead of allowing the deployment of scanners to go forward. Obama is the president now and this is happening under his watch, of course I'll blame him and he deserves to be blamed.

I thought things were supposed to change for the better under Obamessiah. You probably voted for Obama thinking that he is different. Basically you are admitting that Obama is no different than Bush.

Let me also add that enhanced patdown is implemented under the Obama administration. 90 year old seniors and 6 year olds getting molested by TSA pigs.
