Through TSA’s layered approach to security, and to align more closely with International Civil Aviation Organization standards, effective April 25, 2013 TSA will allow knives that do not lock, and have blades that are 2.36 inches or 6 centimeters or less in length and are less than 1/2 inch in width

They're also allowing some sporting equipment. Your thoughts? I mainly travel to go hiking, and I'm happy that I'll be able to bring a pocket knife with me now.

It's a great idea, but they still disallow razor blades. You can carry a swiss army razor blade now, but not one by Wilkinson. Shows they're still brain dead asshats.

fuck the tsa, i got arrested in the airport because of them in 2005 because i had a knife in my junk zipper pocket of my carry-on bookbag. was a huge pain in the ass.

I walked through an airport with a knife in my backpack a few years ago. Didn't even realize the knife was in there until I get home to unpack.

This knife is similar in metals. The knife I had with me at the time was the first of Spyderco's knife with this specific metal bonding:

I still bet they wouldn't allow me to bring my foil or epee. Especially with a molded pistol grip 😛

That's an assault sword. You shouldn't have a dangerous weapon like that in the first place. Only trained professionals on the government payroll should have weapons of that caliber.

And all these months I thought it was just for sport... I've been set up. :colbert:
