i was just thinking about how much crap they confiscate, and how strict the rules are about what you can bring with you...... it's just security theatre, the main purpose is to generate sales for the businesses in the airport, and all the other s*it they take.... they jacked my wire strippers last week because they were "metalic and longer than 7 inches" wait, really? and they just throw it away!!!! bullsh*t
 
Don't forget about keeping the best and brightest of our society employed (not a knock against all TSA employees, but you gotta admit a lot of them are pretty stupid).
 
haha did you steal "security state theater" from me lithum? I've been calling it that from day 1 ..nice to see others recognize it for what it is. Check out how rich Former head of homeland insecurity Chertoff is getting of these cancerous causing pedophile scanners. And yes TSA employees are basically how do I put this nicely, underemployable normally, and get off roles and make Obama look better.

Because smarter people can find better jobs than looking at nude bodies and fondling people's genitals for 29K a year.

The first time i heard it called that is from a co-worker, but then i started seeing it in articles online regarding the TSA. It's really a circus ..... wonder how the ADMINISTRATION feels about all of it? Embarassment? It seems to be (yet another)poorly run program formed as a knee-jerk reaction to appease the sheeple.

They could at the very least donate the confiscated stuff or SOMETHING, a lot of it useless like half of my 2-litre of pepsi they made me throw out(i chugged half right there), but some stuff could find a use EASILY, such as my wire-strippers. 🙁
