The TSA will be unionized and be represented by the American federation of government employees.

Many are concerned this will make the TSA even more inefficient and bloated since its a government agency and doesn't even work.

Wrong. Federal unions have no say in hiring/firing/wages. They can beg for improvements in working conditions but that is about it. Calling them unions is really overstating the situation.

Exactly, these are very limited.

They cannot bargin on:

Wages, Pension, Benefits, Job Requirements, and a few other things. They also have no right to strike period. This is not like the typical state employee unions.
