Ok, so here's my situation. I am currently in a 3-line family plan contract (me, my mom, and my cousin) with T-Mobile that ends August 2008. It's $10 per month for my line with the family plan, but if I cancel my line, it'll be a $250 cancellation charge. Obviously I'm not going to do that.

However, I want to switch to Sprint SERO and keep my existing number. Is there a way to do this without getting out of my T-Mobile contract? I am perfectly willing to have two contracts at the same time. I know I could just sign up for Sprint, but then I won't be able to use my existing number right?

Yes. Port number out. It will cancel T-mobile line. Call up tmobile, reactivate that line and they will give you another phone #. Also, ETF at T-mobile is $200 not $250.

*edit* for clarification you can reactivate a line within a reasonable timeframe and not be charged an ETF. Thats why this works.

Thanks....this is exactly what I want to do. Now I just need to confirm with T-Mobile that I can do that.
