Trying to remember this old old computer game..

I only remember zipping around the 2d city in a cop car as a cop and there was this hooker you stopped sometimes who offered to do things for you to let you off..

I remember it was fun though..any ideas?

I'm dling it now, I remember there being an overhead view of the city you could drive your cop car around in.

I'm pretty sure it was police quest. I remember when you pull her over, did it make note of her license plate?

I remember I was stupid and was reading hte words and it didn't make any sense. Now that I know I should have been looking at the first letter to see what the license plate said.

ya, PQ is the same as SPace Quest, King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, etc...

pretty much the same games, just different subject matter. but he did say 2D, which could sitll be a side-scroller. I think you, like I, wanted to assume top-down view.

Yep, you are recalling Police Quest. I highly recommend the re-drawn version. The one you are talking about is PQ1, and the woman was Helen Hots or something like that. I loved that game.

That was Police Quest. It turned out to be the wife of the police chief IIRC.
