trying to read a document, stuck...help!

I have a wps doc that has a bunch of those boxes in it. I cannot get rid of them because I cannot find my CD to install the cypher program. Any good ways to do this??

I have MS Word, but it wont read it unless I grab the CD, and I have hundreds and am not in the mood to look for it. Can I read it in another program??

No, it is a letter, then a box, then a letter, then a box, etc. If I really wanted to I could spend the time but I really dont want to.

He's talking about an optional plugin you need to install from the CD to read Works files.


I think you're just going to have to find a Word CD somewhere to do it.

those boxes are characters that the program can not interpret. You could just go and download every font you can find

Ohhhhh, I just tried to copy and paste the letter here for you to see the squares, but now they are gone, I am just going to post the whole damn thing here since this forum does not recognize the boxes....woot!

what about open office, i hear that can open/read word files but im not sure about works =/

Thanks for the help, but I really don't want to go through the hundreds of CDs I have looking for the office CD. I may tomorrow.
