I'm trying to stop drinking it because it wrecks my teeth and I'm going to spend money on whitening.

I think tea has the same effect, but possible not as bad?

Tea isn't so great for your teeth either, but at least it's healthier than coffee.

Use a straw when you drink. That's the #1 way to stop killing your teeth if you insist on caffeine. It's the same reason why people use straws for soda (besides the fact that the can can be dirty).

Lets get something straight here, black coffee (no cream or sugar) is actually good for you teeth (hot liquids have a cleaning effect.) You guys are talking about teeth "staining" which is cosmetic. Anyways, it stands to reason that tea, being lighter in color, would cause less staining. Or learn to live with it and get your teeth whitened if you're so concerned with vanity.
