Trying to play Counter-Strike

I've read the other comcast crapping out threads and changed my dns to 4.2.2.1

Anyone else have problems playing CS on comcast? My ping goes wild; i can't play a decent game...

I'm in the Los Angeles area.

Any possible solutions?

Exactly what i came into this thread to say.

The first problem is the game you to play.

Now if it was UT2k4 or Q3, then i'd feel your pain...

i'm in LA, too. same problem here. comcast latency has been sucking in the evenings for a couple weeks now. i've been calling them and they concede the problem is on their end, but no idea when they'll fix it.
