Trying to make my flash drive bootable (Corsair Voyager)

I have a Corsair Voyrager 8gb which I would like to use for installing Vista as I often change my autoinstall using Vlite, but I can't get the my computer to boot from it.

but when I use the command list disk my flash drive is not shown, and if I seek for info about how the list disk works it should not list removeable disks.

So how am I supposed to do this?
 
I've had luck with the HP USB boot utility. You'll also need a boot floppy (or image).

Caveats: After making it bootable, Windows Vista will keep claiming it wants to "fix" errors on your flash drive, but it never does. Also, some flash drives are not bootable, especially with older BIOSes. For instance, my Patriot XT was not bootable on a 680i chipset motherboard with the shipping BIOS, but was with more recent BIOSes (P32?).
 
Will try that out, but also found that apparently you can't see most usb drives with the List Disk feature when running Win XP. So I have to find a Vista machine to format my key from.

doesd that mean I have to have a floppy drive? I don't have one :s
