hello folks,

i am trying to make a chart in excel, and this is what i have so far. as you can see, right now i have a "blue" column for salary, and a "red" column for area. on the left side, i have an y-axis with assigned dollar values. what i would like to do is have another y-axis on the right side with assigned area values. i whipped up a ghetto example of what i mean in ms paint. to view my ghetto example (or for a quick laugh), click here.

when i go thru the chart wizard, the option for "second value (y) axis is grayed out. i made a doc file with some screenshots of this process (click here). anyone have any suggestions as to what i am doing incorrectly, or what i may need to do in order to be able to create a "second value (y) axis"? many thanx in advance :)

ok, i think i have made some progress.

now, i could be wrong, but it seems to me that i can only get access to the second y axis if i choose a "custom type" chart. now the next problem i have is that of the custom charts that are available, only two give me access to a second axis. both those charts involve a line graph. i would prefer to have a column graph. does anyone know if it is possible to have a second y axis in a column graph?
