Found this in Hot Deals, but thought I'd post it in OT since there are so many fitness questions posted here. There's a promotion right now through Powerbar to use the CTS Training website program free for 30 days. This might be a good introduction to the concept of a training schedule and periodization for those of you not familiar with these concepts. I've signed up for it and will report back to you all as the forum guinea pig.
Link to the signup page. Site is un-effing-believably slow for me right now, so YMMV as far as getting logged on. Once you're in, you'll fill out a brief questionaire regarding your overall fitness and experience. You then have 10 days to complete a "field test" that provides a baseline measurement of your fitness. Plug in the results of this test and you get back a 30-day structured training program.
