Its not quite computer related but its the same parts.

My power board on a 55inch samsung tv had a burned out spot in the center.

There is a high voltage capacitor that burnt to a crisp.

Any idea on how to go about replacing it.

I have no idea what kind it was, board has many others ranging from

27 J 6 KV
68 K 1 KV
R 22 i 1KV

Google the model number and see if you can find close-ups of the circuit board, and you might be able to read the enough of the cap that burned out. Posting the model here would help, too

You probably need to replace the board as well as the capacitor. Then whatever fried that board will probably fry the new one. Before you replace the board you should troubleshoot to find out what is causing the excessive voltage and replace that. Maybe the cap shorted and caused an excessive current situation that burned the board.
