Trying to find a nice watch

I decided its time to dress up and move on. I need to start looking sharper so I can get ahead, I got some nice clothes today, and I've been interested in a watch for a while, so I figure now is the time to get one.

Link to watches. I'd perfer to get one from there because I have a lady whos giving me a 25% off coupon, but if you can find a similar watch for cheaper, don't hestiate to post the link 🙂

I'm not looking to spend more than 100, but if the watch is really nice, I wouldn't mind spending the extra cash. I'd like something pretty casual, I'm not into chromed up shiny bling bling watches that pop out and breakdance for me when I press one of the buttons on its intergrated keyboard. I'd just like something simple, casual, and nice. Are there any brand names I should avoid?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

Example, this is too fancy, but something like this is fine.

I really do like all the citizen watches, but they're a tad bit expensive... I'd like something a bit cheaper, though if everyone recommends it, I'll spring for it.

EDIT: Nevermind, all the EcoDrives I like are too expensive., but the ones I can afford really don't look that much better to me over some of the other less expensive watches. It does look nice though.

I like Fossils, but some of thier watches can be a bit on the wierd side. Stick with a more normal looking stainless one and you have it made.

I got one of these

Fossil...

The one I have is from a few years back, but looks like the Blue Dial one here with a nicer band...

$125...which is a little over your limit, and it doesn't appear to be available at WatchStation but I think it looks nice (with the gunmetal finish) and is good for either business or causal wear.

$210 at WebJeweller.com

$159 at Princeton Watches.com

Got to try them on somewhere first tho'.

Nice watches! I espically like the 2nd one!

I think I'm going to try and see if they have this one at the store tomorrow.

Suggestions still welcome, as it still may sway my decision.

Thanks again everyone. I'll keep this post updated on what I get.

EDIT: Which do you guys like better? The Blue (Black?) or the grey?

I'm also a hugh fan of rectangle watches too.
If you want a nice looking dress watch.
Best deal on one right HERE

It sells for around $110 at other places and Overstock had it at $89 for a while until the price drop.
I bought one at a bargain price of $54-5+3 shipping = $52.
Its even better looking in person and its 30meter water resistant.

Yeah, I like the second one best also.

I would go with the blue, between the two you listed.

Here's another:

Don't forget the $5 off $60 at any coupon site.

that seiko coutura looks even better in person.

those citizens are practically at retail. even if they're not, that skyhawk for 300 is marked up twice. if you want a nice citizen eco-drive cheap, you're gonna have to go to ebay. even with 25% off its still slightly insane.

i personally don't like fossil watches because of how cheap they feel. but i think for your price range it would work unless you're willing to go ebay.

the technomarines are also nice watches, but i don't think you'd like the plastic band on the lower models. hamilton makes nice watches but its also out of your price range.

In response to Shelly, the cheapest Omega is about $1,500 MSRP, which means at best you could get it for $900, so that is 9 times more than he is willing to spend.

Personally you cannot go wrong with either Citizen, Seiko, Swiss Army, Fossil, or a cheaper ESQ as they are all very good watches....Fossil also has an amazing 10 year warranty which I think is great...

The watch that I just purchased for around $100 is from a brand you probabily have never heard of...

http://fractionprice.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=3918

when I bought this it was only $89 however since being discontinued the price has jumped a little...

however they also offer this:

http://fractionprice.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=4770

Which features the new style bezel....

Honestly, for $100 this is one of the best watches I have purchased, the case is solid stainless steel, the bracelet is all solid as well, it has a 21 jewel myota/citizen automatic movement, applied hour markers, mineral glass display back, screw down crown and date magnifier....I have gotten more compliments on this watch than I have my others, some of which cost upwards of three thousand dollars. I have also recommended this to other people and they have all really enjoyed it. The only downside is that it is automatic, which means if you don't wear it then it stops running till you wind it up again.

good luck
