Maxtor 60GB 7200RPM ATA100 Hard Drive or the Western Digital(WD) Caviar 60GB 7200RPM ATA100 Enhanced IDE hard disk
i dont know which one to get...
which is better

Which Maxtor 60G 7200? I've always loved the Maxtor, but many others here feel the same way about so WD. I think it really comes down to you prefference

i would choose the maxtor, but thats just my opinion.i've always been a ibm fan but they've seen thier share of problems lately.do some research on the hardware sites. but it will probably just come dowm to who your confortable with.

They are both nice HDDs, but I would prefer the MAXTOR at the moment (which is even capable of UDMA6/133, not that you could be able to tell the difference in real life 😀) as long as we're talking about 60GB.

But you might also consider 80GB-HDDs. Then you could fall in love with the WD 800BB SE 8MB 7200. That one is worth the higher price and outperforms the 80GB-MAXTOR. Check the prices where you live.
