trying to convert a ntfs to fat32 using partition magic 5 probs!

I get the message, drive was improperly dismounted, what does that mean? how do i fix it?

When do you get the message? Typically, a drive needs to be dismounted before system activities like that can occur, but if you shut down properly before booting to PM, it should have dismounted cleanly. Let us know so we can help you. I love the people who call tech support and say "Windows dosen't work"

no it definitly didn't shut down properly, for some reason the stinkin win 2k hasn't been shutting down or resarting properly for a few days, don't know why.. i was able to recover it, i am in it now, but don't know if it will reboot or shut down at all any more, will have to see
