Trying to choose good value video card

The video card is my last piece that I need to select for my new system. I have a couple of choices I'm considering and I want something that is a good value. This not only means good price/performance now but also something that will hold it's value into the future.
This is what I'm thinking, either:

eVGA 7800GT (16) OC $320
eVGA 7800GTX $450
ATI Radeon x1800 XT (512mb) $480 (employee price)

My last option is to try and get an eVGA 7800GTX KO from eBay. Last one closed at $480. I'm guessing that the KO would beat out a x1800 XT?

Please let me know what you all think.

Those cards are not associated with value. Value would be something like the 6600 with DDR2.

The x1800xt is the best choice for that money. It beats a regular gtx, so I'm guessing it would be more or less even with the KO, but with twice the mem, better features, and arguably better image quality.

for ~$400, 6800GS in SLI will perform better in virtually every scenario than all of your options except x1800xt, and there won't be much difference there either

the 6800GS in SLI sounds like an interesting idea; however, since I already have my motherboard SLI is not an option at this time.

I don't know that I should be too worried about buying a used card on eBay, and if that is the case I'm wondering if the 7800GTX KO will largely beat out the x1800 XT for the same money. What do you guys think?

If you're fine with spending the $480 then you should go for the X1800XT 512MB without a doubt.

Edit: I just converted that into pounds (I'm English) and are you frigging crazy even asking this question? If you can get an X1800XT 512MB for that price then go go go! :D

X1800XT, highest performing card on that list and that price is very good.

Apparently your definition of value is different then mine. My definition is that the product is a good value for the money. Yours is that it costs a buttload of cash. :p

Obviously the best "value" on that list is the 7800GT CO which can O/C to beat a stock 7800GTX . . .

But if you can get the X1800XT @ $480 and can afford that much, then why the hell not? Go ahead and splurge . . . :)

Okay I suppose that for $480 the 512MB X1800XT can be considered somewhat of a value since it usually goes for well above $500 . . .

1800XT is a no brainer @ $480. Can you too get me one at that price + commission?
