I've been impressed with my cards from both companies. ATI Radeon Pro 9800 (woot!) was an outstanding performer for its day, and provided many hours of smooth frame rates and happy gaming.

For my recent sytem build, I used an Nvidia evga 7800 gtx ko, and have been loving it as well. Fast frames, good performance, solid drivers and suprisingly quiet performance. It's great to see how competition b/w the two top video contenders has pushed them to deliver powerfuly performing products.

NVIDIA has 6 letters. I can't think of any companies with 6 letters ATM.

Case closed. :)

nVidia has ASRock, Maxtor, and Powmax. ;)

Price & Performance go for the 7800GT!

I started off as a NVidia customer (TNT/TNT2/Geforce2 then Geforce3) then I discovered ATI and it's 9700 it was great, then I got a 9800 Pro. But now after the 9800Pro is useless I was looking at going to a X800XL or GTO Video Card, but lack of Pixel Shader 3 support and the delays of the new x1000 series from ATI made me look back to my old friend NVidia. I discovered a top performing video card with Pixel Shader 3 and 20 pipelines for the sort of price the new ATI part will probably not be for the next 6 months or more. So my Leadtek 7800GT is ordered and on its way. Good to be back on the NV side.
