try to play Quake1 in Vista

i recently get to play Quake 1 on LAN with a few friends. Remininsing on the good old times. Now, one of us got a Vista OS, and it won't run and the warning screen said quake won't run "on DIB mode"?

I was on Quakeone.com but I still don't understand how to fix it (they say d/l qrack.exe or proquake.exe but i can never find those files)

I'm not sure if this works as I've never tried it, but it is supposed to from what I understand of it. Or maybe I'm just retarded and a wannabe IT professional...

Thats odd I run Q1 on my Vista PC without needing to do anything special to get it to work.

There are numerous clients out there that work fine under vista.. EZquake, FTE, Fuhquake, quakeworld vanilla. Also there's GLQuake available for straight single player.
