Reuters usually does a pretty evenly balanced job. However ................they occasionally stumble.
"
Analysis / Bias
In 2018, Reuters was named the winner of two Pulitzer Prizes on international reporting for exposing the methods of police killing squads in Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs and for feature photography documenting the Rohingya refugee crisis in Myanmar and Bangladesh.

In review, when covering Trump administration news, Reuters Editor In Chief wrote this message to staff “Covering Trump the Reuters Way,” urging them to stick with the Reuters “Trust Principles.” However, after the Capital Gazette shooting, Reuters Breaking news editor Rob Cox tweeted, “This is what happens when @realDonaldTrump calls journalists the enemy of the people. Blood is on your hands, Mr. President. Save your thoughts and prayers for your empty soul.” Cox later apologized and deleted the tweet. Regarding the incident, Steve Adler, Editor-in-Chief, published a statement regarding Rob Cox’s tweet stating, “Mr. Cox’s actions were inconsistent with the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles requiring journalists to maintain freedom from bias. We do not condone his behavior and will take appropriate action.”

that's crazy that the weather channel only gets 50% of conservatives.

what the hell is wrong with the fucked brains of these people that half of them can't decide if they are being lied to about the fucking weather or not?

seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these self-described humans?
Suppose we don't know what is wrong with them. Dose that mean something isn't still wrong with them? I think that aside from themselves everyone else hear or anywhere else in the world will see quite clearly they are mentally ill in some way or another. It's rather a self evident and profoundly obvious fact. And facts are what fact based news organizations report.

Trump and his supporters are mentally ill in some way or another. This, I think, is all we need to see that any objective news source will definitely and without fail say to them they are sick. And what we know about mental illness is the denial that goes with it. These will be people who hate the truth and because of the nature of mental illness to rationalize away any painful thoughts of their inner illness, they will herd together to form an altered reality in which they can laugh and ridicule all who see who they are. So whatever the form of their mental illness, they will spend all of their effort to make you pay for it. They are people who know they are sick and have no other joy in life than to get even for it.

I'm a bit surprised to see the Guardian rated so low overall ..... most of their articles I've read seem on the more "truthful/direct" side of the news.

Of course that COULD be the root of the problem!

Stories like this are why Republicans might have a negative view of The Guardian

Its not like they magically found each other in alternate reality land. They were farmed.
They were, are, farmed by Rupert for one.

Before we get to who farmed them, as you put it, there is the rather larger matter, in my opinion, of how they came to be farmable, or as zinfamous asked, “seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these self-described humans?” My experience suggests you don’t want to go there, that what is wrong with them is a taboo subject because it is what is also wrong with us, that they are for us just one permitted view of a very much larger altered reality few wants to escape.

If so, then the same denial that applies to them would apply to us.

How can anyone doubt YOUGOV and The Economist? Pick 2 biased sources and you can expect to get a biased answer.

The Economist is fairly reliable. It's always been very much on the right, but it's the more honest wing of the right. At least when it comes to analysis of numbers.

Dunno about YouGov. Just another polling company, I guess, not seen anything to suggest its better or worse in its methodology than any of the others.

There is nothing wrong with them beyond being human, everyone can be subject of a demagogue under the right circumstances, you dont have to have a whipped childhood to fall victim of a Jim Jones personality… and this is what this is. Regular ass human beings brainwashed.

Anybody who trusts the Weather/Nonsense Channel is not to be trusted. Their judgement is defective and they should wear a helmet at all times.

Any survey or chart that includes it is not worth the pixels to display it.
It really got better with the new regime. It's OK not to care about weather.

Why can regular ass human beings be brainwashed? The orbit of Mercury showed errors to large for Newtonian mechanics to explain. They could have just said that's just the way regular assed Mercuries behave, much was learned by those who wanted to know why. But then again, they wanted to know so I guess what people know or don't want to know might be related to motivation. And if a person would prefer not to ask about motivation? Well......., there's a question that won't get asked.

People who have internalized that they are worthless will project that feeling everywhere. Any news source not canted to provide them confirmation bias will do that. Any news source providing factual information will not be so canted. Truth that offends one's sense of self worth will be rejected. Imagine the mess if everyone were that way. Nobody would have the faintest idea of his own internal bias nor would they want to.

See here is this bullshit again where you somehow allude to have discovered relativity and the rest of us is stuck in newtonian euclidian space. And all you want to do is make us see the light.
Your narrative, moonie, is HIGHLY subjective and objectively quite possible almost certainly wrong.

So true. Can't name names but a poster named after that palace in India told me I didn't know what I was talking about when mentioning the neglected energy grid in Texas killed 700. That is a 100% fact, yet I don't know what I was talking about.

Note that you never offer any explanation for why other than I must need my ego gratified by claims of knowing what you don't.

I have no obligation to make you see the light. My effort goes into making what I believe and found as a seeker known to you because knowledge set me free of a lot of needless pain. Sorry your world view is threatened but there isn't a way out if it isn't.

It is essential to know that you do not want to know if you ever expect that to change. The truth is the last place we will look.

And yet from here, it is you in the pit and me throwing you this rope. Rope that you for whatever reason refuse to latch on to. You remind me of that hammer to which every problem is a nail - and hammers, alas, dont climb ropes.

Where did you infer obligation? Look inside.

I just looked at this: "And all you want to do is make us see the light." All I want to do is offer you what is never offered anyone, why nobody knows what to offer you. The good news is that all of the reasons we fear to know the truth are terribly wrong and mistaken. The bad news is that we don't want to know it. You are throwing me a rope back to a false belief. I am already infected.
