Trump's VP pick: Ivanka?

Could Donald Trump keep the White House in the family?

Well, according to his son Eric Trump and surrogate Sen. Bob Corker (who took himself out of the running to be veep Wednesday), Ivanka Trump would be a great pick to share the ticket with the presumptive Republican nominee.

On Wednesday, after saying he didn’t want to be considered any longer, Corker told NBC that Trump’s daughter may just be the best pick.

"His best running mate, by the way, would be Ivanka. I know that wouldn't pass muster, probably. But I don't know that I've met a more composed, brilliant, beautiful-in-every-way person," Corker said.

Ivanka’s brother agrees. When asked about the comments on Fox & Friends Thursday, he raved about his sister’s beauty and brains.

“She’s got the beautiful looks. She’s smart, she’s smart, smart, smart. Yeah, she’s certainly got my vote,” he said.

He added that his sister’s 35th birthday is at the end of October, which means she “just makes that by about seven, eight days.” You must be at least 35 years old to be vice president.

Apparently Eric Trump and Bob Corker think this is a capital idea. Christie must be going to sleep every night after an ugly cry and a half gallon of rocky road because he can't get any love.

Only if no on else would take the spot. Reeks of nepotism...

It is nepotism, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing in this case. Ivanka has always (as far as I know) presented herself well. She appears to be thoughtful, direct, and reasonably intelligent. Trump could do a lot worse.

Unless there is some still yet unknown colossal issue against Hillary, she will be the next President. In those terms, is it important who Trump's VP pick is? That said, I don't expect this VP pick to become reality, it'll be someone else.

I think it's a stupid idea, no matter how "well composed," "smart" or "beautiful" she may be. Besides the nepotism, it gives credence to the assertion that he is having a difficult time finding someone willing to fill the slot. He's apparently having his family members speak at the convention because they can't find enough speakers. I don't think he should do anything else to further the perception that no one wants to be associated with his campaign. But this is Trump, so who knows WTF he's going to do.

Would be fun to watch the birther heads explode since Ivana did not become a U.S. Citizen until 1988. After all Trumps railing on Cruz and Obama wonder how it would be argued she is fully eligible with a non-citizen parent.

There's been talk of the "Pig Castrator" from Iowa, she could be Trump's Palin.

On topic, Trump could make Eric SoS.

She said the other day she was too focused on Iowa. Just about everyone Trump tease tweeted about the other day has come forward and said no thanks.

Gingrich is still there though. Between him and Trump that would make any attacks about Bill's infidelity pointless.

So one option to combat a total and alarming lack of experience in politics, world affairs, and running a government is to add another person with the same complete lack of experience?

I have to agree (without some of the adjectives). She's wonderful and all that but this simply isn't credible.

It's only a ridiculous, stupid idea until you realize that the alternatives are Chris and Newt.

She needs more experience I think to be seriously considered. At least get some quality comments out there like shooting both shotgun barrels through your door if you think someone nefarious is outside. You know, seasoned senior Politician shit... :D

I find it funny how we now have two people who were never really a part of the GOP taking over the entire ticket. Out of everyone available, his daughter just so happens to be the best pick? I doubt he can get anyone reputable to run with him.

Sounds good to me. She would probably be vp the whole 8 years of magic and if she did become President she'd still be 1000x better than Bush.

Now people are getting angry over rumors? America is doomed. Still doomed I should say. Remember the time people started a rumor about Obama being a Muslim and then they got angry at him because he's Muslim?

All politics summed up:

Like when Donald Trump, current Republican candidate for President, worked with Sheriff Joe Arpaio to prove that Obama's birth certificate was fake?

Sure do!

? She was born in NY, how was she not a US citizen?

I'd absolutely LOVE to see Newt up there.
Two old fat white republican men.
That would be so typical of them.

Eh, why not. If your presidential nominee is Donald Trump could could resurrect Abraham Lincoln to run as his VP and it'd still be an awful ticket.
