His second term will consist of pure and unfiltered awesomeness you'll see. Not only will he build a moon base but also a wall around it to keep it safe.

I'm sure you believe that. I'm sure you believe he could float off the floor like a soap bubble if he wanted to.

I read this two ways....
WHAT THE HELL is Donald Trump going to do to our planet during his second term where the human race would need to move to THE F-ing MOON? And once we are all living in cages on THE F-ing MOON, what then is Donald Trump planning for the F-ing moon where the human race would then again need to move but this time TO F-ing MARS? Can't Donald Trump learn to leave at least one planet alone and to treat at least ONE PLANET with respect instead of using them up like paper cups ???

I knew he would F... up our planet earth with his anti-climate-change pigheadedness. Oink Oink Donald you slut.... Oink Oink. Everything Trump screws with he then either has to pay off with cash or toss away into the garbage.

Items 3 and 4 sound like socialism. Or is it only socialism when Democrats propose it?

I heard a conspiracy theory today that sounded so conspiraceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyy...

Do you know Elon Musk is a shady guy.. he wants to go to the moon with a bunch of 3d printers, and he wants those 3d printers to make 3d printers and then he and Trump will have enough 3d printers there that can set up living space on the moon for us so we don't have to deal with any of this stoopid demoncrats!

My response to her was.. do you believe we landed on the moon or was it some desert in New Mexico?

Trump has never stuck to just Republican values or ideas.
But he does stick to Republicans for passing them. Ergo, they are all empty promises.

Sorry to inform you of this...

This thread is an official documentary of stupidity. Thanks for showing us.

The current administration has given NASA the goal of landing back on the moon by the end of 2024.

This timeline is close enough.

Permanent human presence on the moon would be an extension of this program.

Landing on Mars? Maybe middle to the end of the next decade (basically a new program needs to be stood up)

Yes, but this is nothing new. Let's not forget constellation and orion. These aren't new.

What really would matter is Putin's top priorities, not those of his puppet's. I'm sure all of these have a higher priority than a US moon base:
-declassifying and/or otherwise leaking the details of the secret new weapon Trump disclosed in Woodward's book Rage,
-killing NATO and
-removing any impediment to Russia reincorporating it's former Eastern European satellites on it's way to dominate Western Europe,
-solidifying Russia's control over Syria and expanding upon it's Mediterranean military seaport access, and
-most of all, fostering continued dissent, disruption and decline of the USA all the while under the bogus MAGA banner of those that consider flag waving to be patriotism.

1, 2 and 4 are all being worked on by Space X.

NASA and Space-X are already co-operating launches. why would the GOP want to use tax payer money to compete with them?

or is Trump just trying to take credit for what SpaceX is achieving?

Its not totally wacky... well yea it is but not 100%, one idea is to make small 3d printers capable of producing copies of them selves from the material we know is in the asteroid belt, then let them reproduce until “critical mass” then direct them to the poles on mars, then mars would get magnetic poles again and capability of holding an atmosphere.
Forgot where I read that. Yea its 100% wacky sry bout that.

You'd think Americans would be wary of setting up a colony to exploit resources in a distant territory. Colonials have a tendency to start thinking 'why are we sending any of these resources back to our origin country, rather than grabbing it all for ourselves?'

3D printers can make fairly low resolution structures pretty well. They're not going to print advanced electronics from moon rock, and you need the electronics to drive additional printers.

Pretty much. I'd wager those will go out to the lowest bidder. Heck, if trump has his hands in it, the contractors can't count on being paid.

Wasn’t a big infrastructure plan suppose to happen in the first hundred days of his first term?
Regardless these are good goals to me but as everything with Trump there is no plan in place and there won’t be a plan.
Sad because I have always felt the President is the right man to get deplorables to agree on big things like immigration reform, reasonable gun restrictions and something like this a big space project. The President could do so much but he always chooses the easy/lazy route on everything.

Lordy, if even 1/4 of what trump promised the american plebs happened we'd all be amazed. Instead, judicial activism and piles of cash for the wealthy is what we got. There's no plan for term 2 to help americans, just more pandering for votes to specific portions of the population while using the government as his personal grift target.
