And yes apparently it won't even be contested imo. Although I wish it would be. So there are roughly 920 delegates left in primaries after the March 15 Super Tuesday II. Trump will probably get the roughly 570 he needs to go over the top considering there are lots of winner take all elections.

He's worth 10bil. Nobody owns him, sorry. But nice tinfoil hat that you're wearing.

lol if you think he's worth that much. Most of his worth is in illiquid assets that aren't traded, getting an accurate estimation of his worth is near impossible. Of course he'd exaggerate the hell out of it.

Trump is filthy rich and he is in his 60s he won the how many digits can I add to my net worth. He has a big ego and wants to add another notch to his belt. He wants to finish his presidency and point to all the naysayers and say "see i made america better" his greed is greed of ego, money no longer feeds it as much as being president and showing all the naysayers they were wrong.

So yeah i think i will take my chances and vote for trump. I already know what you get with a clinton term.

He will be 70 in June. I agree, this is certainly a power trip for him. It is for nearly all presidents, but for him it is unabashedly so.

My first recollection of him talking about running for president was back in the 80s.

When his supporters act like his hand was forced via mismanagement of American greatness by establishment GOP? Hahahah I think that's just adorable.

As someone that considers Trump's most redeeming quality being that he isn't establishment, I hope the establishment fucks him over and nominates someone else. We get all the benefit of a fractured GOP, and none of the horrible policies that Trump supports.

You cant compare the two. He actually had to run and he lost. This is someone who never even ran to begin with and all of the sudden out of a smoke filled room they declare. HAIL Paul Ryan.

People will be WTF? he never ran how did this happen etc.. It will make people doubt we even have a democracy, it would be like a Banana Republic.

Yeah if the GOP inserts a Romney or Ryan and they win all hell is going to break lose. I would be surprised if Ryan would put himself into that position being he is young in his career. But Romney has nothing to lose. He already embarrassed himself twice. Why not make it a trifecta?

I suspect that if Trump loses in a contested convention, a riot is not even the most important thing that will happen. The most important thing is that he'll run as an independent and sink whoever the GOP candidate is. He has never disavowed the idea of doing this - he's only said he won't do it if he's "treated fairly." Trump's giant ego means he likely thinks the only way he could lose is if he's treated unfairly, but then again suppose he actually IS treated unfairly. Either way I see this as no good for the GOP.

He's not wrong and I hope he's not wrong. I hope the riot happens. this is supposed to be an election by the people. as much as I don't have faith in the average American voter, I have less faith in the parties to actually want to do what's best for the voters.

I hope people riot so these establishment things start becoming a thing of the past

You want there to be riots, even though you (presumably) know full well that people get injured and killed in them, involved or not. Nice.

I'm guessing that, true to Drumpf form, you yourself won't be participating in said melee? Or do you plan on strapping on your Drumpf gloves and trying your luck with a suckerpunch?

That is what I just do not get. His supporters are so confident that they have a Robin Hood, not a mafia handler. When he incites violence by telling his supporters that he will pay for the legal fees, you can imagine what kind of corrupt life he has been living. Where does that equivalence of violence and legal fees come from? If you punch a fellow citizens, wouldn't there be a punishment (fines, jaile time, or both)? What good does a lawyer do when there is a black and white act of crime, from his point of view as an inciter of violence?

The only explanation is that the guy is so used to getting away with breaking the laws then hiring high-profile lawyers, and does not respect the law. There is no hint of repentance or regret. Even if his supporter believed that he were some undercover agent who collected vast knowledge of corruption in the past, there should be no reason for him to behave the way he does NOW.

I'd be curious to know how much other candidates are paying of their own money towards their campaign. For some reason I cannot find this information. Do you know where to find figures for this?
No idea. The only reason I found that clip was because I knew what to look for. Otherwise, no chance. I know that the link talks about the other candidates and their funding but I just skimmed those.

My guess is that no other candidate self-funds. And if you read the section on Trump, I think they talk about how much money he's received in donations. Which I don't think includes PAC and SuperPAC money.

Trump is the candidate of suppress entitled American rage, a notion that people are entitled to a government of and by the people, not a kleptocracy. Violence is a known feature of rage.

But Trump has won the Republican slot fair and square owning to an army of trained monkeys with CBDs.
