Yeah, we've heard it many times from Trump's baby mamas in this forum that he isn't racist.

Trump calls Somalis in Minneapolis ‘garbage’ who ‘come from Hell’ as ICE plans hundreds of arrests

In remarks at a Cabinet meeting Tuesday, Trump said Somalia is “barely a country” and accused refugees in Minnesota of having “ripped off that state for billions of dollars, every year, and they contribute nothing.”

“We don’t want them in our country,” he said. “Their country stinks … When they come from hell, they complain, they do nothing but bitch, we don’t want them in our country. Let them go back to their country and fix it.”

Trump has baselessly alleged Somali immigrants are “taking over” the state and “roving the streets looking for ‘prey.’”

“Ilhan Omar is garbage. She’s garbage. Her friends are garbage,” Trump said Tuesday.

I'm asking a poll in this thread what are chances Trump's accusations are complete bullshit. Or were there a few instances of fraud no different vs any lily white red state and this is yet another racist attack on black people.

So. He is going to out-hate the America First spinoff and Epstein files with a frenzy of nationalism.

It's a play. Lets see how it works out for him.

1. It is a racist attack against a group of black people.

2. There have been two highly publicized cases of fraud that have left the Somali community in the state reeling and in the spotlight facing public ire.

As evidenced by his growing list of pardons he does not (at all) object to fraudsters, he objects to black people existing.

In my experience the Somalians in Minnesota have been good stewards of the American dream. They work hard and try to improve their position in life unlike many born here that expect success just for being made in the USA.

I do wish to thank Trump for keeping the hurricanes away from Minnesota this year though, there was no flooding and no deaths or property damage and the season is over so many people here including the Somalians are saying great job.

The actual facts and data show you are going to be very disappointed.

- People keep saying this and my retirement accounts keep going up.

The pain has to be distributed and broadly felt for there to be meaningful consequences.

I'm tired of reading about the Teflon Don and the No Consequences Mafia.

First: what does the stock market (your retirement accounts) have to do with immigration and deporting immigrants, and that action making things better? (the actual post my comment was refering too). The data and facts shows that immigrants (documented and undocumented) are not the problem. Infract, the deportation are hurting our economy.
Second: The only reason the stock market has been going up under Trump is the AI bubble..
Third: Where you praising Biden for your retirement accounts going up, because it was happening then as well, but under a strong economy?
Forth: the stock market is no indication of things getting better in the US., specially since it can be, and has been, manipulated so easily by the criminal president. The economy is going down the tubes (we are headed for a recession if not a depression), inflation is on the rise, unemployement is rising and currently at it's highest point since COVID, and job creation is subpar, with Trump's economy having a net loss of 13, 000 jobs in June, and not meeting forcast many of the other months.

Anyhow, how about you point to areas that is on topic of immigration/deportations.

How intelligent and "presidential"!

The Asshole says during a press conference that "Ilhan Omar is garbage" as are the rest of the people in Minnesota recently arrived from her own African homeland.

He's saying that Congress-person Omar is "garbage"? Send her a donation! Whatever you can spare!

She's a very fine young woman and a responsible and effective legislator.

- The "economy" being hurt needs to have practical consequences. What does "economy" being hurt mean if most people have their jobs, their retirement keeps looking better, but they have to pay more for food (which is obfuscated by the tariffs as well)?

Remember the "vibe" economy that killed Biden's chances (everyone's pocketbook looked good, but they had bad vibes about the economy)? If Trump has people feeling good about their pocket books and feeling good about the general "vibe" then the facts on the ground don't matter.

Second: The only reason the stock market has been going up under Trump is the AI bubble..
- Yes, but the President takes credit. AI has been fueling the stock market since 2023. It "saved" Biden's ass from headline inflation (insofar as having something positive to point to) and now it's saving Trump's ass from his comically poor leadership.

Third: Where you praising Biden for your retirement accounts going up, because it was happening then as well, but under a strong economy?
- Yeah, you seem to have me confused for some Trump humper just because I'm not rabid and foaming at the mouth on anything Trump related. I've said that Biden will be remembered fondly by history for relatively gracefully handling a totally fucked economic situation that was going to hurt whomever was President (supply line's being utterly fucked post pandemic).

- Yes, and what I am saying is that recession/depression better show up otherwise a lot of folks are going to have egg on their face. Just like Tariffs were supposed to lead to crazy double digit inflation but companies unexpectedly actually ended up eating a bunch of the cost increases and consumers were relatively shielded from the effect, with headline inflation at ~3%.

Anyhow, how about you point to areas that is on topic of immigration/deportations.
- That is what this is about, if we deport illegals and the economy shrinks in tandem, then we can find ourselves in a situation where the effect isn't as broadly felt as people are predicting it will be. If the negative effects don't materialize, its hard to run around screaming the sky is falling.

After "they're eating the dogs and the cats", everything he says is a lie.
Always was, but it's not even masked anymore. Just bald faced lies.

Amazing how the Somali community in Minnesota instantly became the face of Covid relief related waste, fraud and abuse.

It’s not like this hasn’t been a thing amongst people of all backgrounds for like…5 years now. What’s another $1 billion on top of the $350+ billion looted thus far?

Always remember that the worst program, PPP, was structured under Trump specifically to allow GOP donors aka “jerb creators” to take free taxpayer money with zero oversight. Biden actually had to add oversight rules when they discovered the scale of fraud and abuse:

“The Biden administration imposed new verification rules [in 2021] that administration officials say appear to have made a difference in curbing fraud. But they acknowledge that programs in 2020 sacrificed security for speed, needlessly.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who oversees Covid relief spending, told "NBC Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt in an exclusive interview that Covid relief programs were structured in ways that made them ripe for plunder.

“The Small Business Administration, in sending that money out, basically said to people, ‘Apply and sign and tell us that you're really entitled to the money,’” said Horowitz, the chair of the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee. “And, of course, for fraudsters, that's an invitation. … What didn't happen was even minimal checks to make sure that the money was getting to the right people at the right time.””

Excellent, I got here before the usual suspects.

We can stop pretending that Republicans give 2 shits about fraud and drugs as Trump pardons every rich grifter and drug cartel leader under the sun.

Yep, there was a lot of fraud in Washington state, but the majority of it probably went to white people so, I don't know if they will go after us. Both our previous AG, who's now governor and the current AG, fight Trump policy as much as possible so, we could still end up being a target too. Being blue always helps.

I think they're referring to the fact that immigrants commit crimes at far lower rates than the population as a whole. If you're referring to the economy improving, you can also thank immigrants since a declining population would hurt it.
